"Join our wrestling club today and fulfill your greatest potential with structured training sessions, experienced coaching, and a community that feels like family!"

Maka Yacapin has always been a passionate wrestler. While playing baseball and football as a kid, wrestling fit him. After 15 years of training and competing, Maka decided to share his love for wrestling with others by opening his own wrestling club.

His first order of business was bringing on his lifelong close friend, wrestling partner, and locally proven coach Evan Janson. Evan trained with many of the best in the nation during his 15+ year wrestling career.

Outlaw Wrestling Club started off with just a handful of eager students. But as word spread about the high-quality training programs and unique coaching philosophies that Evan & Maka offered, the club began to grow.

Evan & Maka believe in teaching more than just wrestling techniques. They instilled in their  students a sense of discipline as a professional, respect as a human, and dedication to your craft. He emphasizes the importance of hard work and perseverance, both on and off the mat. While also providing an uplifting and encouraging environment.

Members of the club become like a family, supporting each other through victories and losses. Everyone is welcome and included, regardless of their skill level or experience. Whether someone was a seasoned wrestler looking to improve their skills or a complete beginner wanting to try something new, Outlaw Wrestling has something to offer. The coaches’ passion for the sport is infectious, and it inspires others to join and become a part of the wrestling community being created.

Maka Yacapin won three state championships and a few coveted All-American honors from the prestigious Fargo & World Team Trials tournaments. But after over 15 years of competing at various levels, Maka decided it was time

to give back to his community by starting his own wrestling club.

Raised in University Place, WA, Maka had always dreamed of bringing his passion for wrestling back home. With the help of some former teammates and friends, he opened the doors to Outlaw Wrestling, a club dedicated to teaching young athletes the art of wrestling.

Maka's coaching style is a cultivation of calculation, planning, and a hint of fire. His main focuses are progression and longevity. His expertise and experience on the mat allows him to pass on that knowledge to young athletes. He hopes to transform Outlaw Wrestling into a breeding ground for future champions.

For Maka, the real reward is seeing his students grow not just as athletes, but as individuals.
“I want Outlaw Wrestling to become more than just a club – a family, united by a love for the sport and a shared belief in the power of perseverance."
