This past Sunday, January 25, 2025, Outlaw Wrestling Club sent 11 wrestlers to compete in the 2025 WSWA Takedown Express Classic at Kentwood High School. Our athletes showcased their wrestling skills and toughness, bringing home an impressive collection of medals, including 5 first-place finishes, 2 second-place finishes, and 2 fourth-place finishes. Below are some of the standout performances:


Tournament Results

Alex Polk (Middle School 105 lbs):

Alex dominated the competition with a perfect 4-0 record, securing 1st place. His run included a pin in the finals, a tech fall, and a hard-fought decision over four tough opponents.


Kamuela Kalilikane (High School 124 lbs):

"Wela's" technique and dominance were on display as he went 2-0, earning 1st place with one pin and one tech fall.


Cael Bittner (Middle School 84 lbs):

Cael was unstoppable, outscoring his opponents 33-1 with two tech falls. His flawless performance led to a 2-0 record and a 1st-place finish.


Rezzy Daley (U12 70 lbs):

In Rezzy’s debut representing Outlaw Wrestling, he impressed with a 3-0 record, including one tech fall and two major decisions. He outscored his opponents 41-5 to take 1st place.


Nezel Peapealalo (Girls K-2nd 62 lbs):

In her Outlaw debut, Nezel dominated with two pins in a combined total of 2 minutes and 40 seconds, finishing in 1st place. Her performance promises a bright future in wrestling.


Jayce Polk (Middle School 88 lbs):

Jayce went 2-1, earning 2nd place after outscoring his first two opponents 34-0 with 2 tech-falls before falling in the championship match. He continues to grow and improve as a tough contender in Washington state.


Leimomi Kalilikane (Girls 3rd-5th 77 lbs):

“Momi” rebounded from an early loss with a quick pin in 1:47 to secure 2nd place, continuing her impressive first full season of wrestling.


Carson Sandstrom (Middle School 100 lbs):

Carson battled back after an early loss, winning two consecutive matches before finishing in 4th place. His determination and fundamentals stood out in a tough bracket. Carson continues his impressive growth as a third-year wrestler.


Iwalani Kalilikane (Girls 6th-8th 115 lbs):

In her first-ever tournament, Iwa went 2-2, finishing in 4th place, highlighted by a pin in 1:40 in the quarterfinals and a tough decision win in the consolation semis. She displayed her strength and potential in an exciting debut performance.


Norma Bretana (Girls 6th-8th 124 lbs):

Norma pinned her quarterfinal opponent in 1:51, avenging a previous loss. Falling one match short of a podium finish, she showed heart, toughness, and a love for the sport.


Calvin Cavnar (Boys U8 56 lbs):

Calvin competed with incredible heart in a tough bracket. As one of our newest wrestlers, we’re excited to develop his skills and watch his growth in the sport.


Team Recap

Outlaw Wrestling Club's combined record for the tournament was 26-12, reflecting our wrestlers' hard work and determination. With 5 first-place finishes, 2 second-place finishes, and 2 fourth-place finishes, our club continues to make strides and represent with pride.


Congratulations to all of our wrestlers, coaches, and families for another successful tournament! Let’s keep building and improving as we prepare for our next competition in 2 weeks at the WSWA 2025 Northwest Folkstyle Challenge at Bremerton High School before The Big Show.
